Hey everyone,
Please find below a guide to getting amBX working with Star Wars: The Old Republic. We'll be working on a solution for a future revision of our software but we thought you might be itching to get playing with your amBX setup. Feel free to PM me if you have any trouble with any of these steps.
Thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open the Task Manager
Ctrl+Alt+Delete -> Start Task Manager
Click the Processes tab and find in the list amBXFXGen.exe
End the amBXFXGen.exe process.
Navigate to your amBX Gaming FXGen executable. This lives in the Gaming FXGen directory where you installed your amBX software. Probably something like below:
C:\Program Files\amBX\Gaming FXGen\win32\amBXFXGen.exe
C:\Program Files\amBX\Gaming FXGen\x64\amBXFXGen.exe
Depending whether you're running on a 64 bit machine or a 32 bit machine navigate to either the win32 or x64 version of the exe.
Right click on the appropriate amBXFXGen.exe for your machine (32 bit or 64 bit) and select Run as administrator
Start up your Star Wars: The Old Republic and when you are able too, quit back out of the game.
Find the amBX Control Panel from your Start Menu and right click on it:
Start Button->All Programs->amBX->amBX Control Panel
next, click Run as administrator
In the normal way, open the Configure amBX Software panel and check that Star Wars: The Old Republic is displayed in the list of detected software. Enable the program and play.
