Hi Peeps

I've just bought the ambx starter kit.

Bit disappointed to find that Windows 7 x64 isn't supported - enabling the profiler also gives me 100% cpu utilization. I've not yet experienced AMBX short of the ambient "illuminate" application.

Is there anything on the roadmap with regards to Windows 7 support guys? At the very least I would've liked ambx to work in media player classic.

amBX has repeatably stated they will support Windows 7, but not yet. They also stated that their focus is on the drivers again, which had been on the external amBX solution. For most people it´s also possible to get amBX working with Windows 7 right now, so getting a proper release shouldn´t be very hard.
Take a look at the Wiki for all those questions you didn't dare ask.

Thanks Milmoor

I got to the stage where drivers were hacked to install, but had no idea about the updated juno drivers for the profiler!

Will try this install again :)

Just installed 1.2.1 control panel and 3.5.6 profiler. Will see how things go now!

They do not address any Win 7 issues as they are for the Vista/XP install

One can hope *shrugs* I've yet to try them :-)

Though without AMBX plugged in, my CPU utilization isn't on 100% (unlike before.) I'll plug them in when I'm back upstairs and see what will happen.

Least I can see signs of updates being made. Fingers X'ed it keeps going on!

And true to your word, you're right :)

3.5.6 did nothing for me. Reverted to 3.5.3.

How do you revert? De-install profiles and install, or just run the installer?

Just reinstall 3.5.3 (I think it was linked to earlier), no need to deinstall anything.
