This occured after setting up the starters kit.
Also stopping the ambx services before shutting down does not help. I'm not sure it is related to ambx but it occured after installing it.

I have the same issue, and also do suspect amBX is the cause. I just kept forgetting to try to disable amBX before shutdown. Thanks for trying that.

Using the tips mentioned in this thread (cheers everyone) I've got it working for fully supported games such as Operation Flashpoint.

Problem is other games don't appear in the list, I get a pop up saying they've been detected but they're not there when I check - anyone come across this?

It's the same problem I have. I think it's related to the way Vista/Windows 7 handles useraccounts. Hopefully the new drivers will fix this.

Sorry about this guys. Some code related to 64bit has been disabled in this latest release due to other issues and in the process this side effect of missing apps has appeared. It is being looked at and should be sorted asap.

So if I'm on a 64bit Windows 7 release I should not install the updates?

i'd hold on for a fix to the missing apps issue which should be out real soon.

Just to make clear. The driver will fully support 32bit win7 games/apps etc on a 64bit setup. It just wont support true 64bit games/apps which at this time are very thin on the ground anyway. I am running it on 64bit vista and it works with all my 32 bit games/apps etc.

Im running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bit now.

The control panel doenst add the games. But the games do work with the lights. The only game that doesnt work is Shift. I cant get it to work. Maybe because it doesnt add it in the controle panel.. The rest works flawless :)

Same here. And it's rather slow. I think I try to reïnstall it all, maybe it helps (because with the previous installation it didn't work at once and after that I found this topic.

not sure does anyone have the same problems, i can get amBx installed and updates to the lastest in window 7.

The amBx lights work, but the funny things is which i notices, some application, such as itunes, would automatic say detected new application and say it will added to the entry.

However, when i click on the amBx Control, itune isn't listed in there, but when i open itunes, the amBX lights and effect work.

And i try number of different application, it seem to do the same, that it say it added the application, but its not show in the control panel, but the lights work.

Also anyone manage to get KMPlayer working in amBx under window 7, they use to work at window vista sp2 with lastest amBx driver and profiles, but in window 7, its not work at all, which same as Window Media Center.

btw, i am using it on a 64bit window 7 :P

Hi lichinto,

We just recently made a release to fix some issues that people were facing on Windows 7. Unfortunately it appears that a side effect of this release is that games are not properly being registered in the Control Panel. For applications that we know about (e.g. iTunes) you will get the lighting enabled automatically but for unknown apps this bug will appear. We're hoping to make a fix in the next day or so which will address this issue.

Thanks,

Ok, I don't think I understand what is going on/wrong. I was a Windows 7 "Launch Party" host and installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my computer. I have sound through the amBX system, but the amBX control panel does not register the hardware. Basically I have a really cool looking, USB controlled, speaker set with a couple useless fans and a worthless rumble pad. Windows says it cannot find the device driver. Does anyone have a link to a 64bit driver that WORKS for amBX and Win 7?

Hi mikltk,

Have you tried following the Windows 7 installation guide here? Unfortunately Philips are not providing an update for the jungo driver which is causing some problems on installation. We are currently looking for a way to make this process more transparent for you guys.

Thanks,

I tried the intallation listed in the wiki, but ran into a problem when I got to the choosing of one of the 2 .inf files, at which point I get the following message: The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.

I am getting real close to trying installation in windows compatibility mode... ugh!

Hey guys,
Well, thank you all for the suggestions and direction pointing, it really did help, and Windows was just being stubborn. I just ignored the problem, went to lunch, and came back, only to find that the same thing that I had done a b-jillion times and had windows tell me I could not do, worked just fine after lunch :!: . I love the way windows 7 just decides it will or won't do something based on how much of a rise it will get out of you. lol, jk! Anyway, thanks again, and it is all working now... all of it... without any errors and I must say, finally seeing amBX in action is awesome! So glad I found this on buy.com!
