Hi all amBX users!

On https://www.ambx.com/beta you can get the latest amBX beta software.

When going to https://www.ambx.com/beta you need to register first. It will mostly take a day till amBX admins have verified your account and have given you the permission to login on the beta site.

The newest update at the moment is:

3.7.4 of the amBXFXGen.exe

Hey there,

Please find a beta release of 3.7.4 of the amBXFXGen.exe. This release was made especially to get Battlefield 3 working with the amBX system. Any feedback's greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Nice work!
Does it also supports the fans and rumblers? I sure hope so. To bad there is not yet any new hardware like that.
BF3 will get support to?

I'm on the forum but don't see where to download the beta software.

....looks like there is no need to "know" about it - the Beta runs great @ my specs with amBX :)

Great thing those lights

Probably because you have Philips amBX and you're using the 2.0 installer and not the 1.1 installer.

Question:
I have re-installed my PC with Windows 7 64-bit. Of course, I also want to use my amBX kit again. Should I use the v2.0 installer? Or the v1.10 installer? Or should i try the beta software?

My amBX kit is the Philips set, with a wall washer and 2 side lights.

Thanks!

V1.10, as the 2.0 does not contain the driver files to install the hardware.

I don't have BF3 so can't comment on the game or amBX with it but unfortunately fans and rumble usually require game coding so for now it's just light. Sometimes when fans and rumble are added after the game is finished it creates problems that can effect the frame-rate etc so even if fans and rumble were added it may not work right.

It is frustrating that consoles have rumble where as PC gets left without... hopefully someone will see that people still want fans and rumble and will create an amBX compatible system for those :)

I tried out the new beta fix for BF3 and now I get a black screen instead of a DirectX error.

It does this in windowed or full screen mode. I can hear the gaming sounds in the background and the game appears to be running ok but, with a black screen. Also, if I disable the FXgen then the game works perfect again.

Any idea how to fix this?

Where can I see the version history? What 10 games were supported with this update?

Please can you indicate whether you have the Philips or MadCats Cyborg product (or both)?

Could you please also post an amBXDiag for your system, this will help us to reproduce the problem or spot any missing software or possible version issues.

There is a known issue effecting some users with this configuration that we are looking for - the more feedback we get the better as the cause is rather elusive with apparently identical systems running fine.

When you open the amBX control panel after installation do you see the devices in the hardware view?

When you plug the lights in do they flash?
