The speakers / sound have nothing to do with the software, however the fact that the speakers are working proves that the USB connection is fine. It may be that the amBX isn't being detected properly or there is a clash with some other drivers. You'll probably find that whatever it is is affecting the lights, fans and rumbler. Once it's sorted out, all should work OK.
I've had the Philips amBX working OK on a Win7 64 bit PC OK, and previusly on a Win7 32 bit. However, various people seem to have had problems with Win7 64, possibly due to other things they have installed. Until somebody gets back to you, have a look through the Technical section of the forum as well if you haven't already done so. I think there are various Win7 posts tn there as well.
