Does it work okay when not using Colors like with Aurora Synesthesia or glOW?

I know very little about the software side, I leave that to the others :)

The speakers / sound have nothing to do with the software, however the fact that the speakers are working proves that the USB connection is fine. It may be that the amBX isn't being detected properly or there is a clash with some other drivers. You'll probably find that whatever it is is affecting the lights, fans and rumbler. Once it's sorted out, all should work OK.

I've had the Philips amBX working OK on a Win7 64 bit PC OK, and previusly on a Win7 32 bit. However, various people seem to have had problems with Win7 64, possibly due to other things they have installed. Until somebody gets back to you, have a look through the Technical section of the forum as well if you haven't already done so. I think there are various Win7 posts tn there as well.

Take a look at the wiki and tell us where things go wrong when following the steps in there. You probably have to deinstall/reinstall to get things working. Repairing an issue is far harder than starting from scratch.
Take a look at the Wiki for all those questions you didn't dare ask.
