amBX and Diablo3

Postby Torsley » Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:21 am

Hello,
I bought my "Cyborg Gaming Lights Kit" two days ago. My problem is to get it work with Diablo3. After installing the Gaming Lights and start the game, the software recognizes D3 and create a profile. I closed D3 and enable amBX in the configuration software and select the Role-playing game profile. If I start D3 now the Gaming Lights turn off and nothing more happen. If I close D3 the light color turns to his configurated amBX illuminate color.

I've tried the same with Path of Exile and it works pretty well. Both games run in windowed (fullscreen) mode if thats importand.

I've allready reinstalled the driver by your instructions. "Mad Catz Cyborg Gaming Lights - Installation steps."

My OS is Windows7 X64. On my GTX680 are two IlyamaProLite LEDs.

If I close a tool or game that is already in the software list of the amBX control panel it crash with a windows error.

Diablo 3 worked fine instantly for me. Are you using the latest beta versions of control panel and fxgen?
Core i7 920 D0 @ 4Ghz | Corsair XMS3 6GB | Corsair H50
Gigabyte X58A-UD3R | Antec Signature 850W | Antec P180
Acer GD245HQ 120hz 23.6" | Geforce GTX 280 + GTS 250
Sound Blaster X-fi Fatal1ty | Logitech G15 + G5 | Win 7 64

As I said. To make shure I installed everything correct I used every information from the "Mad Catz Cyborg Gaming Lights - Installation steps" guide.

I don't know if the download links in the guide lead me to the correct driver location. At least I was hoping that. ^^

If it's not to much of a bother maybe you can post the correct link to the drivers.

*edit*

Now I installed "amBX_GamingFXGen_Setup_3.7.4_beta.rar" and updated it in the controll panel to profil 3.7.6. I think Diablo3 works fine for me at the moment. Later I'm doing some test. Thanks you for the hint to the beta driver.

*edit*

The test after sunset in a dark room went very well. Diablo3 now works fine. Thanks againg. :D

Hey All,

I just bought the Cyborg amBX lightning and it works great for BF3. However, when I play Diablo 3 it seems like the frame rate drops to around 20 fps. I have dual geforce 670 which is more then enough to run Diablo 3 smoothly.. Anyone else have the same problem in Diablo 3 or other games. Plz address me if so and explain what might be the reason to this behavior.

Same thing happens to me. Except, and I don't know if this is the same situation as you Pettson, it only occurs when I have another amBX program, such as glow, aurora synesthesia, or amBX illuminate running. I have to exit these programs first, and then start up the game.

When I do start the game with amBX enabled, my framerate is terrible for about a minute and then everything seems to level off. I don't think its a graphics issue, since I only have a single geforce 460. Make sure that you don't have any other amBX programs running and give it some time to settle down and see if that helps.
