Hardware companies can make amBX products by simply becoming an amBX hardware licensee. As well as creating immersive effects in games, amBX technology is now being used in the professional lighting market with the amBIENT XC.

The amBIENT XC is a standalone lighting controller to automatically control coloured LED lights, in the professional lighting market using DMX lighting protocol and amBX. In addition to controlling and creating general ambient lighting effects, the amBIENT XC is most effective when connected to video or audio inputs to tie in lighting effects with entertainment media in much the same way as the amBX PC products do with games.

The amBIENT XC is a simple to use automated system which requires only a small amount of setup to connect it to DMX LED lights and when setup can be used to create lighting effects from a music source such as an iPod or a video source such as a PS3, TV or a DVD player.
