The versatile nature of SmartCore means it can be deployed as a basic lighting control solution that cost-effectively manages the illuminated experience, or instead as a solution to a complex multi-functional software that connects all devices and systems, aggregating data which is then passed on to a third-party analytics system or to the cloud for secure easy access.

Its user-friendly interface can be adapted to your needs, displaying real-time lighting control information that is relevant to you. The complexity can be adapted dependent on the user and controls can also be restricted for certain user groups if required.

Meeting occupant requirements – Circadian Lighting

Traditionally all elements of a building were disconnected, costly, and time-consuming to operate and fix, while today’s building occupants require an effective and easy to use solution. As demand increases for improved occupant wellbeing across all building types, circadian lighting offers the ideal solution. To some degree, we are all governed by our internal body clock or our ‘circadian cycle’; light is one of the biggest synchronises, and timing, intensity, and colour of light are all key factors in regulating human circadian cycles and our sleep and wake patterns. Disturbances in the circadian rhythm can have a physiological and mental impact and can ultimately contribute to poor sleep patterns. 

SmartCore’s sophisticated algorithm controls the direction, timing, intensity, colour, and wavelength of light in every space, making it ideal for circadian lighting applications, such as commercial use in care homes, offices, and schools.

How it works

SmartCore provides all of the functions and options you would expect including: dimming, fading, light scenes, intensity, daylight linking for energy-saving and supports many different switch types. Examples include 1-10V Dimming which is one of the simplest electronic lighting control signalling systems whereby the control signal is a DC voltage that varies between 1 and 10, whilst the “Digital Addressable Lighting Interface” (DALI) is used for communication between lighting control devices, such as electronic ballasts, brightness sensors or motion detectors.

With our new DALI emergency solution, building owners will be able to run automatic emergency luminaire tests remotely via the same platform as their standard luminaires. SmartCore’s emergency lighting module simplifies the traditional and old-fashioned process by working with smart emergency lighting to provide status feedback, testing, scheduling, and reporting to ultimately deliver cost savings. With the addition of new features, remote diagnostics and troubleshooting, SmartCore successfully reduces associated site visit costs.
