Download the latest amBX software and hardware drivers from the downloads page. If you are installing a Philips hardware kit do not use the CD in the box as it will be out of date.

1. Uninstall any old software previously installed from the CD
2. Download and install the latest web installer package
3. Use the amBX Updater to get new features, engine updates and game profiles.

Download Philips drivers and software. This contains the Philips driver and additional amBX software.

Please note, that although we update the amBX software to be compatible with all new OS versions, Philips are not supporting their hardware with system updates beyond XP and Vista

Cleaning up an old installation

1. Uninstall old amBX software
   1. Using "Add or Remove Programs" on XP or "Programs and Features" on Vista, uninstall everything with amBX in the title. e.g.
      • Philips amBX Version XXXX
      • amBX FXGen
      • amBX mod for XXXXXXX
      • amBX mutator for XXXXX
      • amBX System
   2. Reboot
   3. Delete the contents of "Program files\amBX" and/or "Program files(x86)\amBX"
   4. Reboot
2. Download and then install the latest web installer from the amBX downloads section.
3. Open your amBX Control Panel and click "Check for updates"
4. Select any new updates and install them.
5. Reboot your computer to ensure new updates are installed correctly..
6. Repeat the last three steps to ensure you get all the updates.
7. When no new updates show up, you should be up to-date.
8. Check for updates regularly for new features, engine updates and game profiles.
